The Asiatic Fathers of America & Secrt Maps of the Ancient World
The 20th review will feature 2 books instead of one as they are written by father & daughter and both deal with basically the same subject. The former was written by hendon M. Harris Jr., & the latter by Charlotte Harris Rees and both deal with the discovery by Mr. Harris of ancient asian maps and how the chinese came to America long before Columbus.
Both works are far from scholarly but they contain valuable information and prove that one does not have to be a scholar to know the truth. or at least part of it. Each work presents their findings in a simple way, providing more than enough quotes and examples to build a proper case.
One might be put off by their style of writing but if that is the case then they would miss out on some very important information, especially the DNA evidence found in Mrs. Rees' book that cements the case of a asian migration to the new world by a people later known as the American Indian. This evidence also helps put to rest the Mormon claims that the western Indian were the 10 lost tribes of Israel.
Part of the problem with investigating the Chinese activities in the ancient world comes from the many book & map burnings they held over the centuries. Such acts make research very difficult and aids the skepticiasm that arises when people broach the subject of the western natives as asian.
At times thier evidence is very slim, and they try to make everything out to be chinese forgetting that other options could have come into play as well. The drawback of these books is that they are a one note themed work and little attention, if any, is given to other possibilities outside of their own theory.
Yes they have lots of evidence but their explanations tend to over-reach a bit or stretch the theory too far and it would have been better if they had taken the time to flesh out the alternatives so the reader could make up their own minds instead of reading the same thing for pages on end.
Both books are less than 150 pages and you can get them through Abe Books for $19.95 ea. and they are worth the time and money to read. The evidence contained within the pages will help any student of history get a fuller picture of the past regarding the western Indian.
